Suddenly at Maple View Lodge, Athens on Friday December 15, 2017. Luella Sly of Athens, in her 91st year. Dear companion of the late Bill Lawson. Loved mother of Marilyn (Collins) Brundige of Arizona, Sharon (Michael) Kearney of Athens, Sylvia Garvin (Bob Bresee) of Jasper, Linda Gill (Gordon Allen) of Calgary, Lisa (Dale) Jones of Elgin, Randy Earl (Carolin Stapper) of Brockville and step-mother of Randy Lawson of Athens. Dear sister of Marion Pepper of Athens, Ralph (Willi) Sly of Elgin. Predeceased by son-in-law; John Garvin, sister; Annabelle (Roy) Roantree, brother; Howard (Zita) Sly, brother-in-law; Art Pepper and sister-in-law; Muriel Paquette. Fondly remembered by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment Morton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations made to Morton Cemetery, Maple View Lodge or The War Amps would be appreciated by the family.
